Remote / Contract

The Owl Syndicate is building a network of remote contract AI artists to help create concept-driven, cinematic work across branded storytelling, performance marketing, and narrative IP.

We are not looking for people who simply know how to type prompts. We are looking for artists with strong taste, storytelling instincts, visual literacy, and the ability to use AI as a serious creative medium. The best people for this role think like filmmakers, animators, designers, editors, and creative directors. They understand character, composition, pacing, mood, performance, and audience — and they know how to push AI tools toward work that feels intentional, emotionally resonant, and visually distinctive.

Our ideal AI artists are comfortable working in fast-moving, iterative pipelines and understand that great AI work does not come from one prompt. It comes from concepting, exploration, curation, refinement, consistency, and strong creative judgment. We value artists who can move quickly without sacrificing craft, who can solve problems across stills and motion, and who are excited by hybrid workflows that combine AI with traditional creative skills.

What We’re Looking For

We want AI artists who can help us develop and execute high-quality creative for ads, branded content, visual development, pitch materials, trailers, and narrative worlds. You should have a strong eye for design and storytelling, be able to generate a wide range of looks and ideas, and know how to refine outputs into something usable, polished, and strategically on target.

You should be comfortable with:

  • concepting and rapid ideation

  • character and world consistency

  • cinematic shot design and visual storytelling

  • image generation, video generation, and hybrid workflows

  • creative iteration at scale

  • receiving direction and improving work quickly

  • collaborating remotely with creative leads, editors, strategists, and other artists

Tools We’d Like You to Be Proficient In

We are tool-agnostic in spirit, but we are looking for artists who are already strong in modern AI workflows. Experience with some combination of the following is important:

  • Midjourney for ideation, look development, style exploration, and image creation

  • Nano Banana 2 for controlled visual generation and refinement

  • Kling 3, Veo 3.1, Runway, Sora 2, & Seedance 2 for AI video generation and cinematic motion work

  • GPT or Claude for prompt development, ideation, creative problem-solving, and workflow support

  • Photoshop for cleanup, paintovers, compositing, and final polish

  • Premiere, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, & CapCut for editing, timing, finishing, and presentation

  • ElevenLabs for audio tools

  • Weavy, ComfyUI, or other advanced workflows are a strong plus

The tool list will keep evolving. What matters most is that you have strong fundamentals, real taste, and the ability to learn quickly as the landscape changes.

We are looking for people who:

  • put story, emotion, and audience before novelty

  • see iteration and scale as a creative advantage, not just a production shortcut

  • understand that the first result is usually the beginning, not the finish line

  • have strong curation skills and know how to separate promising work from noise

  • care deeply about consistency, craft, and emotional clarity

  • are comfortable experimenting, failing fast, and refining until something clicks

  • can work independently in a remote environment with clear communication and follow-through

  • are excited by the idea that AI can expand what artists do, not replace artistic judgment

We especially value artists who bring a hybrid point of view — people who understand animation, film language, design, photography, editing, performance, or VFX, and can bring those instincts into AI-native production.

Work Structure

This is remote, contract-based work. Projects may vary in scope, style, and duration depending on client needs and internal productions. Some assignments may be short-form ad concepts and testing, while others may involve deeper visual development, cinematic sequences, branded storytelling, or narrative worldbuilding.

We are building a flexible bench of trusted collaborators who can jump in when the right project calls for their skills.
